A dynamic design and craft team, Object Studio combine traditional craftsmanship and artistic inputs with contemporary design and manufacturing. Constantly innovating, their founder, Tom Vaughan, was after a refined digital style guide that would help evolve their core brand.
Celebrating the artist behind the brand
The overall aim was to maintain consistency throughout the website, but we also wanted to bring the artist to the forefront of the brand. This was achieved with a new brand lockup that places Tom Vaughan’s name at the heart of the identity.
Meanwhile, a muted colour palette and irregular imagery layout allow the artworks to speak for themselves, emphasising their handmade nature.
Enhancing the digital user experience
Our UI designers then refined the typography with the digital user experience in mind, using multiple weights for body copy and headings to establish an information hierarchy and separate buttons from body.
We also designed a choice of button styles and slider chevrons for easy navigation around the site, balancing usability with aesthetics.
