How shared instincts fuel our creative work.

When the newest members of our growing studio recently took the 16Personalities test, we uncovered a fascinating anomaly. In three distinct departments, our juniors share the exact same psychological profile as their senior department leads.

And it makes perfect sense. Last year when we did the same test, we noticed a variety of personalities fuelling our work across different departments, but certain disciplines are naturally going to attract specific mindsets.

When a junior and senior share the same personality type, mentorship shifts from teaching technical skills to nurturing a shared instinct. Here’s a look at the Senior/Junior mirrors in our Studio, alongside the creative minds that round out our new additions.

The Defenders (ISFJ): The Partnerships Team

Defenders are dedicated protectors, acting through efficiency, responsibility and an attentiveness to those around them. And as Sentinels, they’re known for their practicality and focus on stability.

El, Partnerships (Junior)

“Watching Roksana handle new partnerships is amazing because she doesn’t ‘sell’, she consults, advises and protects. I naturally care a lot about the details and making sure people feel supported. Seeing Roksana use those exact ISFJ traits to build genuine, rock-solid trust with founders has been fantastic, showing how empathy actually translates into strong commercial relationships.”

Roksana, Head of New Partnerships (Senior)

“It’s great watching El step into this role because I see so much of my own approach in her. She has that natural instinct to listen carefully and anticipate what someone needs before they even ask. In partnerships, you can teach the commercial side of things, but you can’t teach that level of genuine care. My role is just helping her turn that protective instinct into confident guidance for our clients.”

The Advocates (INFJ): The UX/UI Team

Quiet visionaries, Advocates are inspiring, tireless idealists who approach life with deep thoughtfulness and imagination, always looking for the deeper meaning. And when it comes to UX, thoughtfulness and empathy are fundamental to understanding how a user thinks and what frustrates them. INFJs are naturally wired to overthink the human experience, turning empathy into clean, frictionless digital logic.

Max, UX/UI Intern (Junior)

“Yeah, I probably do tend to overthink how every little detail affects the user’s emotions and it can honestly be a bit overwhelming. But working with Mike has offered a lot of clarity. He has the exact same idealistic mindset, but he knows how to channel all of that into clean, practical UX architecture. He’s showing me how to turn caring into actual, frictionless design.”

Mike, Head of UX/UI (Senior)

“When you want everything to have a deeper meaning, you end up questioning every single interface choice. It’s a great trait for UX, but it can cause decision paralysis early in your career. But since I know exactly how Max’s brain works, I can help him translate that deep empathy into logical, user-friendly solutions. And he’s making such rapid progress, he’s genuinely smashing it.”

The Protagonists (ENFJ): The Marketing & Accounts Team

Protagonists are charismatic, inspiring optimists. They love helping others, strive to have a positive impact and use creative energy to bring people together. And where marketing needs you to constantly read the room, Protagonists are the ultimate translators.

Owen, Marketing Intern (Junior)

“Enthusiasm only gets you so far. Watching Ellie manage accounts and marketing strategies has been an eye-opener. I see how we have a similar energy, but she knows how to harness it to lead a room, anticipate a client’s needs and drive results. So I’m getting some great first-hand guidance on how to turn being a ‘people person’ into effective growth strategies.”

Ellie, Account Manager & Digital Marketer (Senior)

“Owen has such a great optimism about him and genuinely wants to understand people and tell good stories. I see a lot of my early self in how keen he is to collaborate. Mentoring him is mostly about taking that brilliant natural charisma and giving it a framework, so he can see how his communication skills actively help our clients grow.”

Bringing creativity to the mix

While our senior/junior mirrors anchor our operational departments, a studio needs a wide, unpredictable spectrum of thought to truly innovate. Rounding out our most creative department of branding are two highly empathetic, visually driven creatives.

Sally, Illustrator & Content Creator – The Mediator (INFP)

“Yeah, I am constantly daydreaming, so this definitely sounds like me! I do tend to view illustration through a fairly emotional lens, because it is. It’s all about trying to capture the ‘feeling’ of a brand, the emotion and the story. I’m always looking for that little moment of connection or a spark of warmth that might make someone stop and smile. It’s lovely being in a studio that values that quieter, empathetic approach to visual storytelling.”

Laura, Brand Designer – The Campaigner (ENFP)

“I like the idea of being a ‘free spirit’! Brand design is so much about curiosity and I’m definitely always chasing the ‘big idea.’ I love the messy, early stages of a project where anything is possible. I rely a lot on the rest of the team to help me connect all those wild dots into one cohesive identity, but bringing that initial spark, openness and energy to a brand is what I love doing most!”

The psychology of our Studio

Scaling a studio means balancing minds. By pairing junior talent with senior mentors who share their exact cognitive approach, we’re building a team that both works well together and inherently understands each other. One that’s grounded in trust.
